Roflcopter Game Review

Roflcopter

This ASCII animation of a helicopter made of ROFLs and LOLs was the start of a great meme after the term "roflcopter" had been used a lot on forums and MMO games and such. The meme formed many big things, even a flash game based on it. This roflcopter game wasn't very impressive looking to say the least, but it had some popularity.

There was then a new, HTML5 Roflcopter Game. It involves flying through a "cave of cascaded consoles" for as long as you can. At the time of writing this article, there are no enemies, but the developer has talked of adding enemies for some extra challenge. There was talk that it may be added as a new game mode (difficulty level).
This game is rather addicting, and the feel of the controls are great, although some would say they could be better.

Note that HTML5 is only compatible in the newer browsers. But HTML5 is the future of browser gaming, whether or not you want to play this Roflcopter Game or not, I recommend anyone to get a newer browser such as FireFox 4. To play a HTML5 game, it requires no plugins like flash or anything; just the browser. And with hardware acceleration in these new browsers, there is potential for even bigger games to be played on a browser.
